JUDITH COWAN
biography.
Born in 1954, JUDITH COWAN is a British artist based in London. With mediums such as sculptures, installations, film, and photography. Cowan acquired artistic education from the Sheffield Polytechnic, in England, from 1974 to 1977, studying sculpture. She continued to study sculpture from 1977 to 1978, in the Chelsea School of Art and Design. Cowan was awarded the Gulbenkian Rome Scholarship in the British School of Rome, in 1978. She taught Fine Art at various universities in London, such as Goldsmith College and Middlesex University.
Judith had solo exhibits at Camden Arts Centre (1993), STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI (1995 and 2000), Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge (1996), Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea in Rome (2005).
