CHRISTIANE LÖHR was born in 1965 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She lives and works in Cologne, Germany, and Prato, Italy. She studied Egyptology, Classical Archaeology, and History at the University of Bonn and Art Education and German studies at the University of Mainz. Löhr then moved on to attaining her master’s degree in 1996, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf (Kunstakademie Düsseldorf). Her work is based on installations and sculptures made of organic and natural materials.
